Acorus gramineus Argenteostriatus
| Name of the variety | Acorus gramineus Argenteostriatus |
The foliage of Sweet Flag releases a cinnamon fragrance when crushed and was used as an air freshener in Medieval times. This handsome variegated form has iris-like leaves striped lengthwise with creamy-white and green. The green flowers are insignificant. Excellent at the waterside, or even growing in shallow water. Also nice in a moist sunny border. Clumps may be easily divided in early spring. An attractive accent plant.
